Age 3-4
Designed for 3-4 year olds, this parent-and-child group class introduces music through singing, movement, listening, and introductory keyboard experiences in a fun, imagination-rich environment Classes are 45 minutes, typically meet once per week, and run through 2 modules during the school year. A parent or guardian is required to attend and participate in each lesson
Age 4-5
Designed for children aged 4–5, it consists of weekly group lessons of 55 minutes, led in groups of 6–10 students with parental attendance required Focuses on developing aural/rhythm skills, solfège singing, ensemble play, keyboard work, note reading, harmony, composition, and music appreciation The curriculum helps children “sing what they hear and play what they sing,” growing musical sensitivity in an encouraging group setting
Age 6-8
Similar to the Junior Music Course, this program focuses on developing aural/rhythm skills, solfège singing, ensemble play, keyboard work, note reading, harmony, composition, and music appreciation, but does so in a way that is age appropriate for 6-8 years old while still keeping it a fun learning atmosphere. Parents are required to be in the lesson to help with weekly practice assignments
You and your child attend a preview session—often structured as a 30‑ to 60‑minute demonstration or observation
During the demo, you’ll see or experience:
Singing and rhythm games
Simple keyboard or ensemble activities
Group interaction in a Yamaha‑style lesson format
A chance to ask about class structure, teacher approach, and fit for your child
Parents are required to attend and participate—particularly at younger course levels
